I am super picky about pizza. I like for my pizza to be loaded with toppings and I usually go for things like chicken and bacon!

How to Make Dough

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Add mozzarella and cream cheese to a large bowl and microwave
  3. Remove the mixture from the microwave. Add the Italian Seasoning and stir.
  4. Stir in almond flour.
  5. Remove from the microwave and stir. Add in the egg. Stir until the mixture forms crust.
  6. Place a sheet of parchment paper over the pizza pan.
  7. Spoon the dough onto the parchment paper. Roll out the dough.
  8. Using a fork, poke holes throughout the pizza dough. This will allow the crust to rise.
  9. Bake for 8 minutes.

  5. Cool before serving.

Can You Substitute Coconut Flour For Almond Flour?

No, the two do not have a 1:1 substitution ratio. Coconut flour is much denser and drying.

Recipe Tips

  1. The dough will be really sticky to roll out. Use parchment paper to bake.
  2. You can either use really clean hands or a second sheet of parchment paper to roll out the dough.
  3. If you roll the dough with your hands, wet them first. This will keep the dough from sticking to your hands and fingers as you roll it out.
  4. If the batter becomes too thick and hard to stir, microwave for another 15 seconds. This will allow the almond flour to moisten some with the cream cheese and mozzarella.
  5. Parmesan reggiano cheese costs a little more than most standard cheese. IT IS WORTH IT! I highly recommend you purchase the cheese for this recipe. It works wonders in the alfredo sauce.
  6. Applying melted butter to the pizza crust is awesome, and trust me it tastes amazing.
  7.  For a thinner crust pizza use ¾ cup almond flour, one egg, and 1 tablespoon of cream cheese as a modification.

Ingredients

Keto Low-Carb Fathead Pizza Crust

  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons almond flour
  • 1 ½ oz cream cheese
  • 2 ¼ cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 egg
  • 1-2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning I used 1 ½ teaspoons
  • 1 teaspoon butter melted (optional)

Pizza White Alfredo Sauce

  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup Parmesan reggiano cheese, shredded
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • salt and pepper to taste

Pizza Toppings

  • 3 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • ¾ pound skinless chicken breasts cut into 1 inch cubes
  • McCormick's Grill Mates Chicken Seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup fresh spinach
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ⅓ cup Parmesan reggiano cheese, shredded
  • parsley to garnish optional

Helpful tools

  • parchment paper
  • pizza pan
  • pizza slicer
  • cooking spray

Instructions

Fathead Pizza Crust

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Add the mozzarella and cream cheese to a large bowl. Place in the microwave for 60 seconds.
  • Remove the mixture from the microwave. Add the Italian Seasoning and stir.
  • Stir in the almond flour. The mixture may become really thick and difficult to stir. If so, place the bowl back in the microwave for another 30 seconds.
  • Add in the egg. Stir until the mixture forms crust.
  • Place a sheet of parchment paper over the pizza pan.
  • Spoon the dough onto the parchment paper. Place another sheet of parchment paper over the dough to help roll out and flatten the dough.
  • For extra flavor spread the melted butter over the crust using a cooking brush. (optional)
  • Using a fork, poke holes throughout the pizza dough. This will allow the crust to rise.
  • Bake for 8 minutes.

Pizza Toppings

  • While the crust bakes, spray a skillet with cooking spray on medium-high heat. Add the chicken cubes to the skillet. Season with chicken seasoning. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the chicken is no longer pink on the inside.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Pizza Alfredo Sauce

  • Add the butter to the skillet on medium heat. Allow the butter to partially melt and then add the chunks of cream cheese, Parmesan reggiano, heavy cream, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir continuously until the cheese has melted. The cream cheese may take some time to dissolve.

Assemble the Pizza and Bake

  • Spread the alfredo sauce over the pizza crust.
  • Add the fresh spinach.
  • Toss the cooked bacon and chicken throughout. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan Reggiano cheese on the top.
  • Bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until the cheese has melted. Mine was ready at 8 minutes.
  • Cool before serving.

Your Keto Low-Carb pizza (Ket-za perhaps?) is phenomenal! I put a spin on it using a low sugar pizza sauce (half a cup - 6 carbs) and topped it with mushrooms, Italian sausage and garlic. Simply stunning that this was keto compliant and delicious. Many thanks!

Oh my gosh this pizza is absolutely delicious!!! It really is the perfect keto crust and Alfredo sauce, and is now my go-to recipe—I’ve made this pizza a few times now with different toppings! Quick question—have you tried freezing the dough, thawing it out and cooking it? And if you have, does it stay good? It’s not a super time-consuming recipe, but I’d love to have it available on hand without much prep work! Thank you so much for sharing this awesome low-carb alternative!

I haven't tried freezing the dough. It's mostly cheese, so I think it would freeze find. To defrost, I would do so at room temperature.

I am concerned that I would want 2 pieces. Then my calories would be too high for my daily allotment. Thoughts?

Hi there. If 2 slices won’t fit your macros, I wouldn’t eat 2 slices. You can also decide which food items you want to remove to reduce calories, like bacon, etc. In general, I’m not a calorie counter.

I’ve been eating on a low carb diet for about 2 years now and pizza was always one of those foods that I just didn’t bother eating anymore because it’s just not the same without the crust. And I didn’t like the popular cauliflower crust that every was using. BUT this crust on THIS pizza and the SAUCE on this pizza! Every other Friday is pizza day in my house and I make this pizza - no one knew that it was “low carb” until I told them. This pizza will help you Stay Snatched! Thanks Brandi!

Delicious! We will definitely make it again. If you don’t keep parchment paper on hand, don’t use foil like I did. It sticks terribly. Use a silicone baking mat like I SHOULD HAVE done. Oops! I know that’ll work because I’ve made other fathead dough items on silicone with no problems. I don’t know why I didn’t think Of it tonight.

Love the pizza, alfredo sauce and all your recipes!
I’m not seeing the macros for just the sauce. Am I missing that somewhere?
    Thank you!

It's included in the macro count. If you want it separately you can input the ingredients in a macro calculator of your choice.

When I saw the Instagram post for this pizza it reminded me of my favorite local pizza place’s “Paradise Pie.” I stay away from dairy most of the time, so I made my own version. Thanks for the inspiration! It was great!

I made this last week for our weekly Keto pizza night with my good friend. Turned out PERFECTLY! We skipped the bacon on the chicken one, since we made the fat head crust with a meat lovers pizza. This recipe was super easy and the crust was better than the others I’ve found on YouTube or FB pages. I have to say, the pizzas were easy to make and made me not miss real pizza during this keto experience. I am glued to your page now, can’t wait to try more!

This was delicious and soooo filling. First time making the dough and will definitely make it again with other toppings for a variety.
