What is the best jungle juice recipe? A good recipe includes a mix of vodka, rum, and fruit juices. The fruit juices are key because they will help mask the taste of the liquor. Very simple!

What is Jungle Juice?

It's a great punch to serve for a special occasion, party, or event because you can easily make 2 gallons or even 5 gallons of punch for a group, and most people will love the punch!

I have always had the juice at parties or gatherings. The great thing about it is, you can't taste the alcohol. This can be dangerous, if you consume too much, so always drink responsibly.

The punch is a combination of fruit juices, vodka, rum, and fresh fruit.

How to Make Jungle Juice

If you are looking for a cheap way to make the punch, stick to low-cost vodka and rum. Jungle juice is great for college parties and events, so if you need to save on cash stick to something like Smirnoff or Tito's Vodka.

I love Tito's because it's affordable and is quality vodka. Bacardi rum is also a great budget-friendly rum option. If Everclear is your thing you can use that, too.

If you are looking for a punch that isn't strong you can always add more juice. You can also use less alcohol.

How Long Do You Let Jungle Juice Sit

I prefer to make a punch this size the night before, especially if you want the fruit to soak in the alcohol. Storing it in the fridge overnight will allow that to happen.

One of the best parts of serving punch with fresh fruit is eating the liquor-soaked fruit from the punch. They can serve as mini-shots!

What to Serve With Jungle Juice

An appetizer spread is a must! I recommend Dry Rub Chicken Wings, Kings Hawaiian Sliders, or Buffalo Chicken Dip with Ranch.

How to Store Leftovers

I use glass mason jars. You can freeze it, too!

FAQs

Why is it Called Jungle Juice?

The name is linked to the South West Pacific and World War II. American soldiers used available materials in the jungle for fermentation and flavoring for their concoctions. You can read more about Why It Is Called Jungle Juice here.

How Much Alcohol is in Jungle Juice?

Alcohol accounts for 20% of the punch.

You would first define smaller and then reduce the ingredients accordingly. If you wanted 1/2 of the recipe, reduce the serving of each ingredient by a half and so on.

This was delicious and a big hit at a gathering! The guys and girls both loved it. It was so much better after the fruit sat in it over night, it tasted like sweet fresh strawberries, so I would definitely make it the night before. I also added extra club soda to make it a little spritz-ier and tone down the sweetness just slightly. My favorite jungle juice I've had yet, and my go to recipe!

Will the pulp from the fruit clog up the dispenser? I have made something similar to this using non-pulp juice, but fresh pineapples and it clogged up half way down. I'm thinking it was the pineapple. I'm wondering if oranges or strawberries would do this.

      @staysnatched,
Wanting to make it for fall oyster roast party. Think it's ok to use dark spiced rum instead of white rum. Thanks!

Any alcohol works great for this recipe.

Convert the measurements based on the drink size you want.

You must use grain alcohol and get the total ABV up to 40-50%

Made it exactly as described. Was a super hit at the pool party. Had a 2 gallon with a spigot which was perfect. I have to admit the soaked fruit was the best part!! This is my go to for all family functions. Even the usual nondrinkers were drinking this!!

I made this last year for a Christmas party and it was a hit. Making it again for another party. Really easy to make. I kept everything refrigerated and put liquor in freezer with strawberries.
