Ninja Slushi McFlurry Ingredients

  • Milk
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Oreos or whatever flavor you like
  • Sugar or Sweetener
Ninja Slushi machine on a kitchen counter with ingredients for a McFlurry, including two jars of milk, vanilla extract, sugar, and Oreo cookies in small glass bowls.

How to Make Ninja Slushi McFlurries

Detailed measurements and full instructions can be found in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  1. In a large mixing pitcher or bowl, whisk together the milk, granulated sugar or sweetener, and vanilla to break up any clumps. Whisk until fully combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into your Ninja Slushi. Press milkshake for the Ninja Slushi.
  3. Allow the machine to process.
  4. Consider a large glass for serving because it will turn out really thick and creamy. Once the cycle is complete, place a cup under the self-serve spout and pull the handle to dispense about half of the McFlurry. Sprinkle in half of the Oreos for that serving, and stir. Continue to fill up the milkshake. Add the remaining Oreos and stir.

Troubleshooting Tips if You Have Problems with the Machine

  • Check your liquid ratio: If it’s too thick, your machine’s gonna fight you. Add 1–2 tablespoons of milk or water, give it another go, and let it work its magic.
  • Make sure everything’s cold: That base needs to be chilled-chilled. If it went in lukewarm, pop it in the fridge or freezer for a bit before trying again.
  • Check for ice build-up: If it’s freezing weird or looks uneven, it might’ve gotten too cold in one spot. Let it sit for a minute, give it a gentle stir, and restart.
  • Double-check the setup: Make sure everything’s locked in, the lid, paddle, all of it. If something’s off-kilter, the machine won’t run right.

What if I don’t have the Ninja Slushi?

You can still make a version using a blender or food processor, but it won’t have that same soft-serve texture the machine creates. You will have to add ice to the blender to thicken up the drink. From there you may have to adjust the sweetness because the ice may dilute it some.

Frequently Asked Questions and Recipe Pro Tips

What type of milk can I use?

Any milk or non-dairy milks will work in the recipe. Whole milk is the best to get it rich and creamy, ideal for a classic diner-style shake.

Can I make this dairy-free?

Yes, swap the milk with plant based milk.

What’s the texture supposed to be like?

It should be thick, creamy, and spoonable, not icy or runny. Think classic McFlurry vibes. If it’s too soft, adjust the thickness dial on the right of the machine.

How Can I Make This Thicker?

Adjust the dial on the right side of the machine. The higher up you select, the thicker the McFlurry is.

Can I use any candy or cookies?

Absolutely! Go with your favorites: M&M’s, Oreos, Reese’s, or whatever you love. Just make sure to crush or chop them so you can enjoy them in each bite.

Do I need to freeze the ingredients first?

Nope! The Ninja Slushi machine handles the freezing for you. Just start with cold ingredients to speed up the processing time.

How long does it take to make?

Using cold ingredients, mine took less than 20 minutes. The machine can take up to 45 minutes to process.

Can I store leftovers?

You can, but it’s best fresh. If you do freeze it, let it sit out for a few minutes before digging in so it softens back up.

Can I make this ahead of time for guests?

Sure, but I recommend churning right before serving so it’s fresh and fluffy. You can prep your mix-ins in advance to make it quick.

Can I make less of it/cut the recipe in half?

Yes, just use half of the ingredients.
