While maintaining a healthy lifestyle I often find it challenging to find guilt-free dessert options. Finding a guilt-free option that also has added health benefits is even twice as hard. I love smoothie recipes because they are perfect for on-the-go lifestyles. You simply combine all of your ingredients in the blender and you are off on your way.
These same ingredients can be enjoyed without the blender, too! If you are just looking to enjoy a small bowl of ice cream I would recommend adding the ice cream to the bowl. Stir in the Greek yogurt. Then only use half of the protein serving noted below, ditch the ice and almond. Drizzle the raw honey over the top! And VOILA! There are truly a bunch of ways to get creative with these ingredients.
Butter Pecan Ice Cream Dessert Protein Smoothie
- 1/3 cup no sugar added butter pecan ice cream
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- ¾ scoop vanilla whey protein powder
- ¼ cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon raw honey
- ½ cup ice
- Combine all of the ingredients in a blender. Blend on high for 45 seconds.
- Serve immediately.
