How Does it Taste?

It's rich, sweet, and tangy. It has elements of Thousand Island dressing with a twist. Vinegar and pickle relish help add acidity which balances out the savory and sweet flavors perfectly. You can easily customize this to suit your taste, whether you like a sweeter flavor sauce, or more ketchup flavor, it's easy to adjust to what you're looking for.

How to Substitute Mayo

If you aren't a fan of mayo, you can use equal parts of sour cream on plain Greek yogurt.

How to Store It/How Long it Will Last

Transfer the sauce to an airtight container, such as a jar or a small plastic container with a tight-fitting lid. Make sure the container is clean and dry before adding the sauce. It's best when used within 1 week of refrigerating.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup mayo
  • 2-3 tablespoons ketchup I used 2 tablespoons.
  • 1-2 tablespoons pickle relish I used 2 tablespoons.
  • 1-2 teaspoons sweetener or sugar I used 2 teaspoons.
  • ½ teaspoon paprika I used regular paprika, not smoked.
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Combine all of the ingredients and stir. Taste repeatedly and make adjustments to suit your taste.

Notes

Feel free to modify the servings of any of the ingredients to suit your personal taste.
