Ninja Slushi Chocolate Milkshake

After spending years testing all kinds of frozen treats in my kitchen, I’ve finally nailed a chocolate milkshake in the Ninja Slushi that’s thick, creamy, and tastes just like a diner-style shake. This one’s been on repeat around here, and I’m breaking it down so you can make it just right on the first try—no guesswork needed.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk or chocolate milk
  • ¼ cup chocolate syrup Omit if using chocolate milk.
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder Omit if using chocolate milk.
  • ¾ -1 cup sweetener or sugar Adjust to suit your taste. Start with ¾ cup and add from there. You shouldn't need much sweetener if you are using sweetened chocolate milk.

Instructions

  • In a large mixing pitcher or bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and granulated sugar or sweetener to break up any clumps. Pour in the milk and chocolate syrup, then whisk until fully combined.
  • Pour the mixture into your Ninja Slushi. Press milkshake for the Ninja Slushi.
  • Allow the machine to process. Let the machine run for 15-45 minutes, depending on the sugar content and temperature of the liquid. Mine took 20 minutes.
  • Once the cycle is complete, place a cup under the self-serve spout and pull the handle to dispense the milkshake.

Notes

I use monkfruit sweetener and monkfruit chocolate syrup to save on calories.
How to Make The Shake Without a Ninja Slushi Machine: A high-powered blender or an ice cream maker works too—just blend until thick and creamy. You will need to use a lot of ice and taste the drink to decide if you need to add more of the ingredients for flavor.
