Burger Sauce

Toppings

  • shredded cheese I use 1 cup (total).
  • pickles
  • lettuce
  • tomatoes

Instructions

Cook the Potatoes (allow these to cook while you cook the meat and prepare the Big Mac Sauce)

  • Air Fryer: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil and add the potatoes.
Air fry at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Don't overcrowd the basket. Cook in batches if needed.
Open the air fryer and spray the potatoes with cooking oil and sprinkle in the ranch seasoning and salt. Shake to ensure everything is coated.
Air fry at 400 degrees for an additional 5-8 minutes or until the potatoes are crispy.
1 ½ pounds potatoes, cooking oil, 1-2 teaspoons ranch seasoning, salt and pepper to taste
  • Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F. Toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning, and salt. Spread them out on a baking sheet and roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they’re crispy and golden brown.

Cook the Meat

  • While the potatoes cook, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add your ground meat and diced onions. Break up the meat with a spatula or meat chopper and cook until browned and the onions are soft, about 6–8 minutes.
1 pound ground beef, turkey or chicken, ½ cup diced onions
  • Drain any excess grease if needed. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, optional cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to taste. Let everything cook together for another 1–2 minutes so the flavors can soak in. Taste and adjust salt if needed.
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper, salt and pepper to taste

Make the Big Mac Sauce

  • Combine mayo (or Greek yogurt), mustard, relish, vinegar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and white pepper in a bowl. Stir to combine. Taste repeatedly and make adjustments to the sauce to suit your taste.
Add a little water if your sauce is too thick. This is especially necessary if you swap out mayo for something else. The consistency will be a lot thicker, but water will do the trick for thinning it out and making the sauce creamy.
1 cup mayo, ¼ cup sweet pickle relish, 2 tablespoons mustard, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1 ¼ teaspoons paprika, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ⅛ teaspoon white pepper

Build Your Bowls

  • Divide the roasted potatoes between bowls. Top with the seasoned meat and onion mixture. Drizzle with homemade Big Mac sauce and add any toppings you like: shredded lettuce, pickles, cheese, and diced tomatoes.

Notes

Feel free to season the potatoes using any of your favorite spices.
