Frozen strawberry lemonade is one of those drinks that’ll make you side eye anything store-bought real quick. It’s icy, sweet, tart, and tastes like summer in a glass. I’ve been creating easy recipes online for over 10 years, and one thing I know for sure is people want recipes that actually hit without needing a bunch of complicated ingredients. This one works because the frozen strawberries give it that thick slushy texture naturally, while fresh lemon juice keeps the flavor bright and balanced.
¼ - 1 cupsweetener or sugarAdjust to taste. Tangy, zesty lemonade needs ¼ cup. Sweet lemonade will need ½ cup or more.
2-4cupsice
Instructions
Add all of the ingredients (including 2-4 cups of ice) to a blender. Blend until smooth. Add additional ice to thicken the lemonade if necessary. The water is used to help get the blender blades going. If 1 cup isn't enough, add more.
Taste the mixture repeatedly and make adjustments to suit your taste. If you like it sweet, add more sweetener. More sour, add more lemon juice.
Serve in glasses.
Notes
The number of lemons you will need will vary based on the size of the lemons you use and how much juice you can get from each.
Adjust this recipe to suit your taste and needs. If you like really sweet lemonade, add more sweetener. The overall taste will vary greatly because some strawberries are sweeter than others, some lemons are more tart than others. It’s up to you to taste the lemonade and adjust to suit what you like. Add more lemon, strawberries, and sweetener as necessary.
You can use bottled lemon juice if you want. I do not like the taste, so I don’t use it.
If you are having trouble juicing the lemons, place them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds. This will help soften them up.
