Easy Air Fryer Bacon Grilled Cheese
Easy Air Fryer Bacon Grilled Cheese is a quick, kid-friendly recipe that will show you how to make and cook a grilled cheese sandwich in an air fryer using Power Air Fryer, Air Fryer Oven, Nuwave, or any brand. This grilled cheese makes the perfect panini for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 7 minutes
Total Time 12 minutes
- 4 slices of bread I used 100% Whole Wheat
- 1 tablespoon butter melted
- 2 slices mild cheddar cheese
- 5-6 slices cooked bacon
- 2 slices mozzarella cheese
Heat the butter in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to soften.
Spread the butter onto one side of each of the slices of bread.
Place a slice of buttered bread (butter side down) onto the air fryer basket.
Load the remaining ingredients in the following order: slice of cheddar cheese, sliced cooked bacon, slice of mozzarella cheese, and top with another slice of bread (butter side up).
If you have an air fryer that is very loud, you will likely need to use a layer rack or trivet to hold down the sandwich to keep it from flying. My Power Air Fryer does not need this, but my louder Black + Decker air fryer requires this to anchor the sandwich and keep it from flying around inside the air fryer.
Cook for 4 minutes on 370 degrees.
Open the air fryer. Flip the sandwich. Cook for an additional 3 minutes.
Remove and serve.
You may have to cook each sandwich one at a time. This will vary based on the size of your air fryer.
I do not recommend stacking the sandwiches.
