Roasted Ranch Potatoes with Seasoning

These Easy Roasted Ranch Potatoes are seasoned with a homemade blend of spices and baked or fried to perfection. These make the perfect side dish for any spread.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds yellow baby Dutch potatoes See notes.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Homemade Ranch Seasoning

Instructions

  • Wash and scrub the potatoes. Slice the potatoes in half.
  • Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl and drizzle the potatoes with olive oil and season with the chives, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to taste. Be sure to salt the potatoes, they will lack flavor without the salt.

Air Fryer

  • Add the potatoes to the air fryer. Do not overfill the basket. Cook in batches if needed.
  • Air fry for 10 minutes on 400 degrees.
  • Open the air fryer and shake the basket. Air fry for an additional 2-7 minutes until the potatoes are crisp on the outside and tender to touch when pierced with a fork.

Oven and Bake

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and load the potatoes onto the sheet.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the potatoes are crisp on the outside and tender to touch when pierced with a fork. Use your judgment and add additional time if necessary.

Notes

  • Cook times will vary as every air fryer and oven cook at varying speeds. Keep a close watch.
  • My favorite way to make these is using the air fryer. They cook a lot faster and have a noticeable difference in texture.
  • You can also use russet, Yukon gold, red potatoes, or even sweet potatoes. If using sweet potatoes, check out my Sweet Potato Hash recipe.
  • If you want to use a store-bought ranch packet use 1 ounce.
