Sweet Potato Cornbread

This Homemade Sweet Potato Cornbread is made using a classic recipe with buttermilk and roasted sweet potatoes! ๐Ÿ‘‰


โ€“ yellow cornmeal โ€“ all-purpose flour โ€“ baking powder โ€“ salt โ€“ ground cinnamon โ€“ ground nutmeg โ€“ brown sugar or sweetener โ€“ eggs โ€“ buttermilk *all ingredients listed below

Step 1

Mix the cornmeal, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar or sweetener to a mixing bowl.

Step 2

Add in the eggs, butter, buttermilk, and sweet potatoes. Stir to combine.

Step 3

Pour the mixture into the cast iron skillet. Bake as directed!

Step 4

I like to cool the cornbread completely prior to slicing and let it cool for at least 20 mins!
